What You'll Be Doing:
The Application Portfolio Analyst is responsible for application profiling, discovery, and analysis across 9,000 application portfolio in order to recommend appropriate Cloud landing zones. In this role, you will work closely with business application owners, enterprise architects, and cloud SMEs to establish repeatable processes and tools to systematically analyze client's application portfolio to identify interdependencies and potential barriers to cloud migration. You will also be responsible to create and maintain application portfolio level metrics and reports for IT leadership.
Essential
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement a scalable, repeatable and sustainable process for application discovery and profiling
- Evaluate relevant tools and vendors in the industry
- Perform a fast-fail proof of concepts and recommend the best solution
- Partner with Sourcing, Finance, GO-IT and Cloud teams to procure and deploy the selected tool(s)
- Configure and run the discovery tools across production environment
- Interpret and validate tool outputs; use insights to formulate app landing zone recommendations
- Identify opportunities for application simplification/decommissioning across the portfolio
- Identify commodity functionality or commonly used software as candidates for app consolidation
- Identify common capabilities or services that need to be made available for consumption in the cloud
- Effectively influence business IT leaders and application teams to drive recommendations
- Maintain a centralized application landscape and detailed scorecards to track progress on app discovery, decommissioning, and cloud migration pipelines
- Maintain regular communication rhythms with business and application teams
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, analytics or a related field, or equivalent years of work experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with application development or application life cycle management
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a business or data analyst
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with project management or process improvement

Qualifications:
- Strong application architecture and Middleware expertise
- Familiarity with a wide range of coding languages, databases and operating systems
- Understanding of cloud technologies and related automation & orchestration tools
- Proven track record of delivering excellent results in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Change oriented - actively generates process improvements; champions and drives change initiatives
- Strong team player - collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
- Highly organized and efficient; able to balance competing priorities and execute accordingly
- Strong interpersonal skills including written (eg documents, Powerpoint), verbal and listening
- Strong facilitation and influencing skills
- Strong analytical and strong problem solving skills - effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve
- Customer focus - builds solutions and evaluates decisions through a customer lens
- ITLP or CAS graduates a strong plus
